It has been a great weekend sunny and warm. Also I do not have to go into work today. One of the network engineers volunteered to do the validation tracking for me as he was going to be in the office anyway. He told me to enjoy the long weekend because Tuesday - Friday was probably going to be hell. Anyway I get to take the "Wiener Wagon" with the dachshund club to the parade today as a result. We are going to be getting rain from whats left of Isaac but it looks like it will hold off until tonight. We actually need the rain here we are 8" below normal totals for the time of the year.

Good morning all. I could not sleep last night. I tried to sleep late after I finally got to sleep, but for some reason If I sleep past 8:00 I get a headache so once I felt it coming on, I got on up. Time for coffee then off to find that torque wrench. Have a Happy Labor Day Everyone!

Here's some video from Saturday night's Main St. cruise. I saw so many cars I've never seen at any car shows or cruse-ins.

Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day All, hope everyone can enjoy the holiday off.

************************************************** ********************** I'm still singing Three Dog Night Songs this morning. It's so easy to forget the huge collection of musical talent that came together in these bands and TDN is no different. The crowd, about 2,000 strong, with a few exceptions (my Nephew, his Daughter and a handful of others), were all OF - and were in a concert going mood. Before the concert started, a handful of singable classic rock songs were piped though the audio system and the concert goers were already singing and dancing. Fun is NOT overrated. The Band, comprised of most of the original members, was little gray and a few pounds heavier, sounded great both vocally and instrumentally. They played one set that was just under 2 hours. Concert goers were singing along and dancing thoughout the show; even the ushers, also OFs, were rocking out. They played a lot of their hits, of couple of songs from back in the day that didn't chart but were recognizeable by the fans and some newer stuff. They played an extended version of "Joy to the World." Mid-way through the song, the band members donned baseball caps and changed it up to a hip-hop song; it was hilarious and the crowd was screaming with laughter. They reverted back to real rock to finish the song. My cellphone pics turned out crappy; I'm hoping the ones my nephew took rned out. I'll post some as soon as he emails them to me. Here are some youtube vids I found this morning. The first is a new number called "Prayer of the Children" an acapella song that really showcases the amazing vocal talent of the band; the second, a high quality clip of "Liar" from 1970; The lead guitarist in the vid with the crazy fingers is still at it! I hope you enjoy them.

That Daiquiri looks refreshing. We finally have overcast/sun today after several days of Isaac rains. Time to clean the bee.

Home now & I have the torque wrench! When we got there the one we needed was marked $80 & Mike started talking about "I can get one cheaper on E-bay". We asked a lady working there & she said "let me check on that" & came back saying it was only $40. So we took it home. Now if only the mods would arrive. Probably I won't get them in time to get anything installed before next weekend's LSX Fest, but............Maybe. If I could just get the ported throtle body done that would help. It has been raining most of the day. Sooooooooooooo dreary. A perfect waste of a good holiday weekend. Oh. well, better that being at work. I hope everyone else had a good holiday. Time for a little rum to help wind down the evening.

Sounds like everyone had a productive labor day. Music and adult beverages make the day even better.
Did a major detail on wifie's car today, as the trip up to the AZ Snowbowl made it very dirty. Cleaned up my Camaro too. Maybe this is why my right shoulder and the right side of my back hurt. Good thing there is only 4 days to work this week.
