Don't forget to include the one that your co-worker took, too! (That was weird... Total stranger walks up and says "So THIS is Ladybug!!" LOL!)

The parade was a blast!
First we met up for a detail party...

Then, when we were staging for the parade, they lined us up on a road with a bunch of Mustangs. All we needed was a row of Challys down the middle, and it would have been American muscle row!!

And we're off!!!

During the parade, we had some people walking and giving out candy and Hotwheels Camaros - I think we gave out almost 200 of them!! The kids were sooooo excited
Here's one:

We definitely plan to do it again!! But next time, we need MORE Camaros.... and more Hotwheels!!

It was so funny when he sent me the text! He sends me pics of random Camaro's he sees, I KNEW that one! Would recognize that butt any where! I wish I knew Gary was getting off early yesterday, I think we could have made it. I'm thinking...aww he's still working I'll do some grocery shopping, get home and he's beat me!!! Oh well, next year...

It was so funny - I was meeting up with Jeff and John at Fred Meyers, got there a little early. This truck pulls up behind me, and I see a flash, look in the rearview mirror, and see someone taking a picture. I chuckled, then when John and I were standing in the parking lot still waiting for Jeff, that's when your friend walked up. I said "That was you taking the picture!" These cars make for some strange, but fun, introductions!

I know we're old farts in here, but that doesn't mean we don't like to - or know how to - have fun...
The post about jello shots, and some recent local events (one of them being that the Mustang group in last night's parade told parade officials that the Camaro group was all drinking. I knew some of the passengers were...) got me thinking...

What are all of your opinions about drinking at car-related events??

I have mixed feelings, and was just curious if anyone else has opinions...

LBM , I have mixed feelings too. Most of the events I go to here in Utah are at local parks or the parking lot at a specific store or a mall or something. All the parks seem to be in cities that have ordinances that prohibit drinking in the parks, period. The parking lots are a different story.... but most of the organizers of those events will specify that there is to be no drinking before or during the event. So, for the most part it has been a non-issue. I've seen people who were inebriated at events that I've gone to out of state. I don't care as long as they are not the kind of folks who get violent or verbally obnoxious when they've had too much. If they do they can make things uncomfortable for everyone.

On one hand, I agree. If people can drink responsibly, not be obnoxious or violent, then to each his own...
On the other hand, cars and alcohol don't go together, so what kind of message is it sending - especially to kids who attend shows or other car events - for the participants to be drinking??

Agreed, cars and alcohol don't go together. But, some folks don't get it. So.... event organizers try to make rules to avoid the problem.... at least around here.

I really didn't mean to start a S...storm over the Jello shots. Please note that I said nothing about car shows, cruise-ins, cruises... Alcohol has no place at any of those. On the other hand, at an event like cfest, in a hotel parking lot when the cars are parked for the night, I don't really have an issue there.

OK. I'll sit down and shut up now.

btw, The cruise pictures were amazing. Thank you for sharing. I only wish we could anywhere near that many Camaros together at one time and place.

Evening folks. I am starting to get ready for the Fest. Got some things done today & even had some time to float/swim around my mother-in-law's pool & get a bit of sun. Tomorrow both Camaros get a last bit of spit/polish and my new window stickers go on. I just wish I could have gotten my Music City Camaro club one in time for the Fest. Here are the ones I have (not sure I'll put the tech check one on):
