I currently work at a Chevrolet dealership in the office. Yes I can tell you that some dealers mark up above MSRP, however our dealership which is family owned, did and does not mark up MSRP to make a buck on a new vehicle that just came out. We are no pressure as well. Since I am also a consumer, theres nothing I hate worse than someone pressuring me to buy a vehicle. I work in a place that reflects my ethics and its a very very nice change. So yes there are some high pressure, rip off places, but not every dealership should be classified in that category

Destination Bremenhaven Germany, to German company , so I can get Europen tuv there.
interntional contract , lc on delivery, no warranty required.
No US dealer will export outside the USA - we're not allowed to.

Just bought my 2011 2LT RS at Heritage Chevy in Chester, Virginia for just $100 over invoice. Found them on Truecar.com website and it was a simple...no hassle experience. They even found the exact car I was looking for and traded with the dealership who had it.

Like CamaroScotty said, no US dealer are allowed to export cars to other country. You would have to find some 3rd party dealer/car exporters to do that, but those often require full payment before they buy the car for you.

I had the same issue at the dealer I bought mine from. They had it marked up $5,xxx on stop of the MSRP. I told them, they need to take the $5,xxx off if they want my business and the guy went back and magically the additional $5,xxx fee was gone.

I got my 2010 Black, 2SS/RS with everything except a sunroof for $35,500. It has Xm, HIDs, Premium floormats, leather, onstar, etc etc; all the goodies. Its a V8, with the 6 speed trans. And with the Chevy Accessory Cash I added the Track Pack exhaust and the black out grille. I think I did pretty well for myself.

I was comparing it to the Challenger R/T with a J pkg and it was slightly more but the Camaro came with a lot more options I was willing to pay for. It was kind of funny that the Dodge dealer wouldn't budge from invoice price ($35,107) even though the Chevy was obviously a better deal and a better car.

Pricing?

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to get the input of the members here. I am considering buying a camaro and want to make sure that I am getting a good deal. Here is an overview of the camaro:
2011 2LT Camaro
RS Package
Synergy Green
Sunroof
Automatic Transmission
Upgrade to 20" Polished Aluminum Wheels

I believe MSRP is $32,455. I believe the internet price they gave me was around $30,900. I was thinking of going for the $30,000 mark but wanted to know if I should try to go lower on the price. Is $30k a good deal or should I expect to get it lower. Thanks for your help.

Recently ordered my car .... while shopping / negotiating Ron Baker in San Diego had to be prodded by GM to offer me the military discount. Well, I moved on and purchased at a more military friendly dealer and got about $2,500 under MSRP (Bob Stall Chevy, San Diego).
I recently ran across another Sailor here on C5. He purchased at Ron Baker a couple weeks ago.... I asked him if he got the military discount... he tells me they said he got the discount but he still paid within a few bucks of MSRP. How???? 3,000 mark up, then a "discount".
Geez.... and this dealer is the closest GM dealership to NAVAL STATION SAN DIEGO. That is just sad.
I'm sharing this story with all my shipmates so they don't get screwed like I almost did, and like my C5 buddy did.

I also own a 2007 Avalanche LTZ. NO I didn't buy it at Ron Baker either.... another bad Ron Baker Chevy shopping experience for another day.

Knowledge is power.

SUBURBAN CHEVROLET in Stuart Florida- 772-287-3232

$5000.00 "Market Adjustment" added to the price of the convertibles.

I've been in talks with them for MONTHS, including verbal quotes and comittments to "NO ADDITIONAL COSTS" only to be told today of a $5000.00 adendum... Needless to say they can stick my #1 place in the order list, and any future buisness straight up their exhaust pipe!!!!

Paying cash and NO TRADE IN helped me get a better deal than when I was financing and trading in.

I don't find that really helps anymore. Dealers seem to prefer people who finance.

I agree that paying cash doesn't get you anything. They prefer credit. I negotiated down to the price i wanted to pay after 2 hours. That was around 7 months ago. 9 months befoer that I saw sticker prices with 6K over invoice because of demand!
