Yes, I expect that all of the initial ZL1's will be held in QC for several weeks. ZL1's will probably not start arriving at dealerships much earlier than mid-March.

Weren't some early cars from 2009 sent to Detroit for QC? Not to be a downer or a killjoy, but if that is the case that is where the first ZL1's may be headed. I sure hope you get sooner than later. At least it has been built, congrats!

Didn't you all see this? This was posted in another thread by FBodFather quoting a letter sent to dealers recently.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=197792

"Dealers receiving these initial retail ZL1 units should expect a longer than usual shipping process. Deliveries of these initial retail ZL1 units are tentatively scheduled for arrival to dealerships in early to mid-March 2012. Please visit GM GlobalConnect’s Order Workbench to inquire on specific timing for an “in-system” (Event 2000 or higher) order."

I'm really excited for you all getting these ZL1's and living vicariously through you folks as you anxiously await your awesome car.

I've found myself thinking .. maybe I'll take a look at trading my 2ss vert in when the verts are available next year/this fall?

Drake, I am sure they have SIX people looking over your car to make sure every nut is torqued perfectly, every bolt is tightened and lined up parallel to the other bolts, that the paint is perfect, air in tires is perfect, and no fingerprints are on the shifter or steering wheel! Yours will be right!
OR ELSE! We are sure they don't want it to be "recycled"......

The cars sent to Detroit had significant electrical issues as I recall and a few cars got held for something close to 3 months.

I doubt that extremity will happen again, but I'd be surprised to see any ZL1 leave Osawa before Mid February with deliveries starting early March....just a practical guess.

After 3 years of patience and 1 year of hard , hard dealer work, looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is near!!
