AWESOME MPG !!!
The new STINGRAY has surprisingly AWESOME gas mileage!!!
Attached is a picture of the dash displaying the (last 50 miles) average and BEST 50 mile average (39.2 MPG!!!). This was on a recent round trip to Las Vegas from SoCal, totaling 600+ miles on the trip odometer (average total for the 600+ miles was 29.6 mpg). As usual, the traffic was a bit busy keeping me at speed limit running in ECON mode, with a downhill run through Cajon Pass helping the average reading. Purchased a CRYSTAL RED, auto6, 2LT kalahari, perf exhaust, nonZ51 on Oct4 and I did not purchase the STINGRAY for MPG, but if your going to be stuck in hours of legal speeds, WHAT A BONUS to look great at +30mpg!!! Wow!!!
Good for you. I have a CRT 7 speed Base 2LT on order. Looking forward to arrival. I'm a little nervous reading about all of the issues others have had in initial quality. How has yours treaty you so far? |

7 weeks and NO problems, paint "orange peel" is not a priority at GM, but not a major issue with me! This was my first purchase "sight unseen",,, but read many articles/reviews and ordered one of the first months production cars - It is still the first in my immediate area - still gets the crowd appeal!!!

That's awesome. Now if I can only keep the car out of track mode.

Awesome MPG my arse!
I love my C7 but didn't get it for the MPG. Once u put ur foot in it the MPG goes out the window. Try 12 MPG around town. BUT when u put the pedal to the metal u feel amazing. Yeeeeehhhhhaaawwww! Ride it like u stole it! |

39.2 is insane.
The highest I can get in my Nissan Maxima Sports Edition is 23.

It's kinda funny but I can see Corvette owners trying to see who can get the best MPG with their C7s with all the fuel-saving tech that's in this car.
