This pic sums it up for me...looks great as is.
Here is a pic with alternate spoiler.

I like the ass of my car with a spoiler, but I dont like it body colored. Looks pretty wide to me. Also doesnt look like an afterthought to me as the rear fascia has indentations for the spoiler to sit and integrate nicely onto it. To each his own though!

Gotta admit, kinda like those round tail lights too!
GM stated this for the C7: "Redesigned LED CHMSL integrated into a rear spoiler designed to catch air and hold the car down during high performance driving."

Therefore even on the spoiler-less C7... form still follows function.

^^^ Same as what Glen and I posted... I have seen it termed as high rise blade spoiler but Body Color Wing Spoiler is the GM name. RPO SB3 and $730 retail on the GM price schedule.

I've never actually seen that before. It's interesting.

I'd have to see it in person.

The standard spoiler IS a true spoiler. The width is about the same as the bottom of the rear window where air is coming off the roof. The tops of the rear fenders have air coming along the sides. The Z51 spoiler is tacked onto the standard spoiler, and thus looks "tacky".

Having the option to add the Z51 spoiler to a non-Z51 car would be a good personalization choice from the factory. I actually love the look of the small spoiler. And as noted above, there is supposedly a functional aerodynamic benefit to it, as well as holding the CHMSL.

Now, that's a great spoiler/wing - That's what I'm talking about - I like the Z51, but maybe change it out to this

stay tuned, if I can get lashway to help me yank the back end off....
For me I really like the Z51 spoiler, I also really like the non Z51 spoiler, both in my opinion "fit" the car. The wing (again in my opinion) just seems like an afterthought. Given you've gone with a very minimalist type of approach where less is more, very clean looking and subtle appearance the wing may not fit. I'd give it some time as more after market groups enter the space you'll find other options I think.

Are we forgetting the function of the spoiler?? The original on my C7 Z51 is to hold the ass end down as the wind / air exits the hood, over the tunnel over the roof, down the rear to the spoiler. Does/would this be effective on this type of spoiler that doesn't trap the wind/air? I guess if you have a base model it doesn't matter much. I go for performance over looks, and trust the engineers who spent 5 plus years on the research.

The next Gen needs a retractable spoiler that is functional and has the ability to deploy on demand or at a personally preferred speed...just my thoughts here
