Running foglights and halos simultaneously?
Judging from the pics I've seen, is it safe to assume that you can't run the fogs and headlights simultaneously?
Anyone disappointed?

i am VERY disapointed in this ... because i would like that option .. however, running the halos at night does give the car quite a mean look as it has like glowing cat eyes kinda .... but i still want the option to run both at the same time

yes, this is why I did not order the RS with the SS since I can't justify paying that much for headlights..

Give it time, there will be a aftermarket deal you can buy that will allow this.

just kidding all you need is a switch from your local autozone/oriley's or hell i think walmart has them and couple feet of wire with splice connectors. then just look at the headlight switch figure out which is ground, and power for the fogs(DRL) splice in and your done after you mount the switch and of coarse tuck everything back to make a nice clean install |

This has been posted on here about a dozen times sincethe car hit the streets. It is clearly stated inthe owners manual that the "Foglights" are DRL's not Foglights. THe HID's will give you plenty of light at night. I am sure you and many others will rewire your DRL's on a separate circuit so you can switch them on and off as you wish.

Why would you want to run the "fog lights" the same time as the HID's? The HID's give out far more light then the halogen lights in the "fog lights" so the "fog lights" will not improve your visibility at all. It would be like pointing both a key chain flashlight and commerical grade spotlight in the same direction and thinking that the key chain helps you see.
If you wanted to do it for looks, the factory "fog lights" would look silly with the HID's so you would have to change them to HID as well. This would be extremely blinding to other drivers and in some areas if your headlights blind a driver and it causes an accident, YOU are listed as being at fault. |
