Anyone hear anything about those Garage 56 zl1s? I assume they won't be produced until Riptide Blue is getting painted.

Non ZL1’s start next week. I think all zl1 CE’s being built this week. If including the G56, they have to pump out 406 ZL1’s this week. That’s only 68 cars/day. I don’t know if the run two shifts in lansing.

They have always rolled off the line at 1 per minute at Camaro plants. Typically 406 per day. This Plant also builds Cadillacs, so it will depend on the mix. Your contact at the plant should have an exact figure for you.

Thank you. My salesman hasn’t responded to a message I sent him on 8/7 asking for an updated TPW. The original date was 10/23 I think, so I’m getting anxious for one.

I hate to say this, but with the looming strike in mid September, an October TPW will be closer to January. Everyone on this site that has an order in is praying to get their car onto their dealer before 9/15

GM once owned and operated Anchor Motor Freight. Anchor, I believe, was the sole transport for GM vehicles from rail yards and factory direct to dealers. They did a fine job for decades and low and behold, GM had a "better plan " and shut them down because it saved them a buck. Anchor had depots across the country. I recall the depot in Linden, NJ. The light blue GMC diesel tractors and carriers were a neat sight and sounded so, so cool . |
