Engine Power is Reduced...

What does this mean? I had just got on the freeway this afternoon in very icy conditions and freezing rain, and this came on along with what looks like NO traction control. I tried to re-engage the traction control on the console, but nothing. At first I thought it might have something to do with the road conditions, but idk. I've never had this happen and it's my 2nd Camaro.

I called the dealership while on the road (35 minute drive took 2 hrs due to weather) and they didn't know, only said bring it in.

Any thoughts on why this came on?

Thanks

Vitesse Throttle Controller has been known to trigger the reduced power mode on a lot of people's cars.

No, I don't have that.

So the photo looks like I had no traction control, right? And it's iced over out there...great time to be without traction control. Ugh...

Could be something as simple as a bad sensor

Does it hurt to drive it? At least to get it to the dealership. I drove it home, but really couldn't go over 35 anyway due to road conditions.

Could be a bad sensor or a bad throttle body since you don't have the VTC installed.

Well, if the CEL is flashing that means something serious is wrong. If it's not flashing I think you could probably limp into a dealer

Someone else will have to chime in though cause I don't have any personal experience with this

Nothing was flashing, the lights just stayed on.

Yea then by all accounts I reckon you can limp in

Like I said, wait for someone who has some experience with this. I think most times this ends up as a bad MAF sensor or throttle body in general
