Go figure...
The bottom line is there are many many things that can relate to numbers besides the "Car" itself. Incentives, design changes, etc.

A mild face lift and a horsepower increase seemed to work well for Ford.... Do you think a few tweaks and the new LT1 will work the same for the last 2 years before the next gen Camaro?

The Camaro is obviously the superior product of all three. What causes sales to lag is the fact if you want a 2SS or 1LE the $$$$$ is very expensive. Camaro's need to be easier to buy with much more equipment. Granted my Camaro purchase was a second car but I had to settle for a 1LT because I was unwilling to pay over 30K for the v8 etc.... There are better deals with other cars, so until they are willing to incent with rebates or lower their costs I dont see the trends moving upwards.

I'm starting to get over these threads. It doesn't really matter if Camaro sells more than Mustang or Challenger, does it? Its not like the cars are exclusive or limited in production by any means - I see rental 'vert mustangs and camaros all over the place down by my office - which is close to disney and universal.

And they all are about equal to each other IMO. Way more similar than they'll ever be different.

I guess I just don't count it as a "win" when Camaros sell more than the other 2 in a given month...and I definitely don't count it as a loss when they don't.

Lots of people just go "OHH, Horsepower" like Homer Simpson says, "OHH, Doughnuts." Play to the crowd and bump the ponies I say. It would be neither difficult nor expensive to add an OEM CAI etc.

Gotta give people what they want.

Overall I've been pleased with my Camaro. I just feel like it should have been lighter. After spending some time in a base corvette, I know my next car purchase I will not sacrifice on weight if the car. If I don't feel that v8 power when I floor it then I'm not buying. So basically I'm gonna finish paying this off, trade it in towards a base vette or something slightly used. I don't mind financing out another car in the 27-35k range, it just has to be worth it.

Over 40K for a well equipped 2SS? I find it too expensive...

That's what I thought back when I bought mine.

I didn't let it stop me though.
