If you look at inflation since the 60's, gas is just slightly higher as a percentage of income than it was in '66. No big deal . DRIVE!

I work in the oil field industry (tug boat capt.) and the way I see it, we couldn't use all the oil in America in the next 250+ years.

still waiting to see $5 gallon gas for the last 4 years. still won't stop me from driving my car when I feel like it.

On the good side, when oil prices go up, so does my pay.

Maybe Americans will lose a little weight if they start riding bikes more often like the Chinese

Ya I know someone is going to chime in on this thread with some silly saying such as~"Well Dude we all drive Camaros that put out high HP, what do you expect?, if you are concerned about saving gas you shouldn't have bought a Camaro in the first place"
Well believe it or not I am one of many folks in here that want to save gas and get more for our hard earned money, I seriously figured in gas economy when I bought my Camaro, that's why I bought the V6.....and it is paying off as advertised.
You want to play? You gotta pay!

Gasoline prices are one of the biggest ripoffs of our time.. The only reason they are as high as they are is because a group of people feel they should be there. It's not supply vs demand. It's nothing with embargos, blockades, production, treaty.. It's gouging on a grand scale and nothing more.

You can't convince me that with the ridiculous amount of profit Big Oil makes that it's anything other than price fixing and theft..

This thread is full of political fail.

To those wishing to talk about higher gas prices, Interior Alaska...3.78 for regular is the lowest, $4.29 the highest for premium.

It's simple, invest in oil futures and you cant go wrong because as we all know oil prices will never go and STAY down. As long as oil is the new gold standard and I suspect it'll be for a looong time, pricing will be fiddled with to line the pockets of those who invest in it.
