im not really a huge fan of the 2 large gauges, im not too fond of the "cone" shape they have, i would prefer standard flat ones |

^Each one to his own. Actually remembered one thing I really want them to keep more then anything. The fact that the panels sorta folds in and does not connecto to the floor via a middle console a la say the Malibu. I have that middle console on my Saab and I hate it. At least it's decently smooth, unlike say the horridness that is Ford Focus.

I'd like to keep the ambient lighting. While showcar exteriors can be brought out close in production the interiors almost never do. Sad really.

the original silver coupe does not have an interior e-brake and hood release... there are alot of things that will not be included in the production car, but they look really cool in the concepts.

Wow. The gap is completely invisible when the door is closed. That's what I call precision. |

Thats because there is no gap because there is no glass.

If there is no glass in back does that mean that the rear window rolls down?

That back seat is going to suck. Passengers will have to remove their legs to get back there.
The center mirror will get changed. Cup holders are an easy fix. They'll just put a couple holes in the center console. The radio and AC controls will change, even though I like them as they are. The screen in the dash that is color-matched with the hugger orange will likely change. I hope it's color-matched with the outside of the car, but it might not look anything like it looks now anyway. I wonder what that screen does. Is it a diagnostic computer like in the dash of the Cobalt? The seatbelt button will probably stick up more. I hope they keep the GM buckles. The outside mirrors have already shown changes in the prototype spy photos, so I'm expecting to see the spy shot mirrors. Lastly, the windows will have glass and a B-pillar. That's all I noticed.

I don't like the way the center console goes all the way to the back seats, I don't believe that it will stay that way.

I haven't seen much mention of it in this thread, but I'm not at all a fan of the gauges in the center console forward of the shifter. They have a novel look, but it's highly impractical while driving to look down into the floor of the car to see how hot your car is running, and they take up room that could be better spent on storage or cupholders. I love the main gauges for the tach and speedo, and I hope that the basic style of them is maintained, but the ancillary gauges need to incorporated into them or around them somehow.
I love the seatbelt buckles...they give me fond memories of the "Mark of Excellence" seatbelts in GMs I grew up in. But maybe they could use some plastic trim to hold onto to keep you from burning your hands on them on hot summer days. |

Check out the Chevy Nation site:
In regards to the Interior in an interview with Micah Jones: Quote:
I'm not discounting all of the "this has to go" or "this has to change" in this thread - but would a cool car look like it's entire interior was spawned from a parts bin? So don't look for too many changes in the interior. Instead look forward to seeing that interior with minor 'fixes' in your production model car . |
