We have these in testing right now, used a 2018 ZL1/1LE as the test car...

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=527726

Drove the car today after they we were done and pedal feel was great, stopping distance was improved. Owner of the car auto-crosses the car locally and he has some track time scheduled for next weekend, so we will see how they perform under some heat.

Pricing we are shooting for the $150 mark, colors have not been chosen yet but thinking we will have the same color options as our current SS brake lines.

So I'm confused. If stock lines are braided steel covered in rubber - what exactly is being upgraded here with yours in testing?

The factory lines are fully encased in rubber. I will see if we can get some pics of them though.

Thank you,
Ricardo

Isn’t that the pics in the first post of the testing thread?

Ah ok, so this is an aesthetic mod. And removing the rubber from the factory braided steel would be ineffective?

The factory lines are rubber not braided steel.

With above all in this thread, can you understand my confusion? :/ Am I reading that out of context?

Infern0, I didn't mean to suggest that the factory lines are braided steel. They're not. I'm sure OEM considers that to be cost prohibitive. The wink wasn't for fun, though....

All I wanted to post was that the factory lines are not simply wimpy rubber tubing like you might find on other cars. I replaced a set on my 2014 SS 1LE with some braided lines, and I have to say that both on and off track, I didn't really notice the difference...That said, they were not made by Phastek, so perhaps that's why.

I said "cut one in half", earlier...well, here it is...figured I'd put my money where my mouth is. I had kept a spare factory line from the '14 SS 1LE "just in case". I can only imagine the ZL1 1LE lines are as good or better than this. (Not cutting one of those!)
