Just got my C7 two days ago and very happy with it so far. Minor quibbles are that I have a bit of a rattle on bumpy roads coming from what sounds like the rear passenger side ceiling. I have the exposed carbon fiber roof but I doubt that would have anything to do with it. If it continues to annoy me I may have the dealer take a look at it. The exterior of the car looks perfect to me and I haven't noticed any visible imperfections or alignment problems with the panels.
One minor fit and finish issue that I think could have been improved has to do with the back edge of the headliner where the roof meets and tucks underneath the rubber weather strip. You need to open the hatch to see this. On my car I can lift up the weather strip and see the edge of the headliner. This looks and feels kind of sloppy to me. The headliner isn't really sagging down, but I can definitely move it up and down. Seems like this could have been secured better. Maybe that is where my rattle is coming from lol. I would like to know if it's like this on all C7 coupes. Anyone care to check for me? |

cosmicdust-I had a similar rattle on mine coming from the same location in the back.
Those plastic panels are just pushed on with clips that latch onto tabs on the plastic. Try giving them a firm whack with your fist to insure that they are all the way in. You will actually hear it clamp further down on the latch. It cured my rattles, I hope it does the same for you. |

There is a large plastic cover over each rear wheel well as well as a separate plastic panel around each rear side window and one plastic panel across the top that connects the two side window panels.
Each of these panels have flat male tabs on them that go into female metal clips. On mine, several of them were not pushed in completely and this allowed them to move around. When you whack it (with-in REASONABLE force) you will be able to hear if they penetrate deeper into the female clip. Good luck!!! |

Sounds similar to what I noticed on mine too. Found this on another forum but have yet to try (hibernating), as the description is even more like mine: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...heres-how.html |

Live in NC, commute to Richmond, VA every week and drove it twice to NYC. Average 500-800 miles per week. My ZL1 was picked up in Feb. 2013, stopped driving it when the Vette showed up. ZL1 has 27K on it. |

Word of warning, if you do this at night, don't do it where the LEOs live. They will think you're drunk. Yes, that is the voice of experience.
