Royal purple hps for stock engine?

Is it ok to use on a internally stock engine? I've heard there's no real gain in using if stock, is this true? Ive also aware that it may void my warranty but I don't care because it's gone anyways.

I don't see why it would make a difference in a stock setup aside from having to change it less often. Royal purple has some great info online about the wear capabilities of their oils and how they can go much much longer than standard synthetics

Save your pennies. I've used it there is no noticeable difference in power. It may protect, there is a thread here that shows Pennzoil Ultra or Platinum is the best for protection, about $25 for 5qt jug at WalMart.

Also Amsoil is well known to be one of the best $/quart value as well.

That's probably what I'll use on my next oil change.

Yep. And in that same test Mobil 1 came in third. They also tested a few Royal Purple and Amsoil oils and none of them came in the top 10.
