2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE Lands On Hagerty Future Collector Car List

http://gmauthority.com/blog/2018/04/...ctor-car-list/

There has been some speculation about value retention. Hagerty has ZLE ranked at #2.

Food for thought.

I think that it will depend on total # produced and for how many total years it will be produced.

They said the same thing about our 2012 ZL1s.

30 years is a long time.

Any high-end performance vehicle that survives 30 years with all its associated numbers intact and without crashing will appreciate in value.

I thought that it was notable that Hagerty would recognize this car.

The decreased availability of LS7 blocks alone will certainly send the value of Gen 5 Z28 skyrocketing in the next decade. As well as the move away from internal combustion power. A stock, never crashed, numbers matching example will demand a hefty sum eventually.

I did not buy mine as investment/garage queen. I assure you sir, that she will be driven as the engineers who designed and built her intended.

With that said, my grandfather left me a very special example of a 67 C2.
She will never be sold on my watch. If I hang onto this car (ZLE) as I believe that I will, there is a very good chance that both will be passed onto my sons and their kids. Although I doubt that my boys would ever consider selling either car. It's nice to know that if they ever had to for whatever reason, that I was able to help them in that way. So yes, I care.

For what it is worth, my $0.02.

I do drive mine haha. Z/28 has 7,000 miles and ZL1 1LE has 700 miles . Weather is only nice enough here for like 3 months, maybe less this year .
