This made my day... Can't tell you how happy I am to hear the engine is OK. Great Job fixing it.

I went back a few pages and didn't see what the problem ended up being. What was the problem? Just the oil pump?

In the beginning I thought you guys said the entire engine was trash.

It ended up being just the oil pump. The dealership had said that there was an engine noise, but nothing else. I tore everything apart except pulling the heads. Ran a scope through everything checked everything and found nothing wrong. Put it all back together with a new melling oil pump and it runs like a champ. Since there is no more noise I'm assuming the noise they heard was dry lifters.

I read your plight. Holy cow man. I hope your sleeping well. This is too much. I know your intentions were good to help the car. I have done the same unfortunately they(GM) does not like our input for some reason when they are footing the bill. I hate that but I am learning to submit and leave my car as stock as possible and maintain it as they dictate. Outside of that I enjoy my car to the fullest. I am really sorry for this unfortunate event. Catch can or no catch can you were not pouring sand in the engine. I wish they could see this. I really hope one day they do see your intentions and not choose to focus on the end result. We are all humans. But your a good human. Something is coming soon your way to replace all that negative energy created. No worries. I have to realize I'm not in control and keep moving. I will sign your petition.

That's good it ended up only being the pump. Glad to see you back on the road.

Really glad to hear you are back on the road!

Still can't figure out GM's position on this case. Makes absolutely no sense at all to incite a high level of backlash for what would have been a relatively inexpensive repair... Really makes you wonder what kind of door knobs are making these decisions?

At least you're back in action and free to mod to your hearts content. Silver lining? Not really, but at least a consolation.

Glad to hear you persevered and got it back on the road. I still same shame on GM and the moronic delaer for screwing you over. So, did you keep the catch can?

Sounds to me like you saved enough money to celebrate your lack of warranty in style. You can now freely enjoy some previously unapproved mods. You are free at last....yes, yes you are. Have fun getting that fender-shaking thunder roaring while others look on. Your friends will see your fabulous results and smile at their wives. Everyone will know just how lucky you actually are. Most of us are slaves to the warranty after all.
