Still Torn between 2SS and 1LE
I let my C7 z51 go because I needed more of a daily driver ...... I can't decide wether I want the luxury of the 2SS I absolutely love the leather I even feel like its better than the c7, but than I have been drooling over the 1le for a year i love everything and that its gonna match the z51 performance but I dislike the suede and gray interior...... anyone else in this boat? also I'm slightly intrigued by the V6 1le but than again its hard to loose that 455HP... I have been going to the track once a month Thunderhill in Willow not sure if its worth focusing on the once a month performance of the 1le or the daily luxury of the 2ss.

You could recover the stock Recaro seats in leather like the 2SS, but that would defeat the purpose of having suede (works better on the track).
I love the interior of the 2SS. It's better than my BMW, but I really want to enjoy the 1LE on the track as much as possible. The way it's equipped is amazing for the price. I don't even feel any need to mod the car. I think I would regret getting a 2SS over the 1LE because I want the car to be more raw. The 2SS is beautiful and capable and more car than I can handle, but the 1LE is the one I lust for, suede and all.

The 2SS gives a lot of comfort. I like all of the features from the blind spot monitoring and backup sensors to Apple Car Play. The dual position, ventilated, memory seats are a very nice place to be on a 700 mile journey.

Sounds like you'd rather have the 2SS.

If you are not going to like the interior everytime you sit in it, daily, and miss all the comfort features of a 2SS.....you know you will regret buying the 1LE.
You are still buying a SS man!!! It just doesn't have a track suspension upgrade.

Get the 2SS for all the sweet comforts that you would otherwise miss out on, and hope that the 1LE Suspension are made available to add later, and then get some new wheels and tires with the same dimensions. That would be awesome. The data tracker and recaros are not necessary for a DD, trust me. You wont miss those things like you would miss all the creature comforts the 2SS offers.

I think if you are going to track the car and it's a primary focus, then it's 1LE all day long. If you still want competitive performance on the track and have the creature comforts for every day it's 2SS all day long. I chose the latter after careful consideration. I wanted a little slice of both

I bet most of what makes the 1le the 1le will be available from GM. I mean, you can already get the 6 piston brakes and the tires/wheels will probably be easy to order from the dealer. It also looks like if you have MR thye'll have the suspension package available in the parts catalog. So all you'd be missing would be the seats, suede parts, and eLSD.

I personally have been going back and forth with this decision too but I think I'm ultimately going to go with a 2SS. This will primarily be the 3 season fun DD but will see occasional track duty. I plan to build a dedicated track car so that was my biggest deciding factor (also because I want coilovers and MRC would be a waste for me). I've taken a 600 plus mile trip in (fixed) sparcos and know how truly uncomfortable buckets like that are. If you want the creature comforts of the 2SS then I say go that route. If it will be more of a track car, 1le without a doubt just my .02 cents

I am in the same boat, torn between either a 2SS Fifty or the 1LE. Still haven't made my decision but for me it will NOT be a DD, I have Taco for that. I keep going back and fourth, really just wish I could get a 2SS 1LE, would make it an easy decision.

great points , yeah its a tuff decision, I had a z51 c7 and didnt need the recaros to enjoy the track loved those base seats. I love the look of the 1le, but the 2SS still calls to me,the leather esp in red adrenaline is amazing there is one black 2ss I really like in my area but they won't budge on the price ! been sitting on the lot for 130 days if I get a 2ss I think I want a red tag deal.

I would look at it this way. If you buy the 2SS you can always upgrade the suspension with after market track packs. But if you buy the 1LE it will be a lot harder and more expensive to upgrade the interior to the 2SS level.
