Don't disrespect my baby

Today i had a passenger in my baby and when they got out of her they salmmed the door after last week i explicitly said please dont slam my doors. Then got all up in arms whenever I said don't spill a drink in her then decided that the radio was under their control.
I genuinely irks me this is my dream car don't hurt her! She's as good as gold to me.

I know what you mean. I don't let anyone have a drink in my car. And the slamming door thing. One guy did that once. lol

Yeah my brother used to slam the doors all the time. They will learn, eventually. No drinks in the car either. Radio, well, as long as they change it to something good.

I just have rules about muddy shoes...my wife drinks a pop or i drink a coffee..if it drips ..i have some mothers interior conditioner and a clean cloth in the glove box. If you spend to much time sweating the little stuff..you cant enjoy the ride.

My car is black so you can see every little thing. One of my rules before anyone gets near the car is not to touch anything, but the door handles. When they get out of my car I tell them not to touch the door, but use the door handle to close the door. I hate fingerprints or hand prints on my baby. Most will do as I tell them to, the ones that love their own cars will do so without asking questions. Then there are those who make such a big deal about it and start asking questions as to why, just do as I say. That is my only rule besides only bottled drinks in my car and even then I am a bit iffy about the drinks. I know how you feel.

The doors do swing open and closed very easily because they do not have brakes.

I noticed this when I first test drove a 1le and did not expect the door to swing open so fast without braking anywhere (its a 45k car seriously). Fortunately the salesman was there to catch it like he was anticipating it. This was at first a big complaint of mine, considering all of my cars have doors that will brake in a few places before fully open, but its manageable. Its nice to have a door brake especially when you are parked close to another car. It especially helps when getting things out of the car without having to hold the door.

Again its manageable as long as you are careful and train passengers to use the door. I anticipate door brakes for 6th gen Camaros...maybe even a soft close door option.

Your door does have a break in the hinge...about a foot or more open ..it stops.

Hah yeah it stops but if your on the wrong incline it is easy for your leg to get pinned when you swing it open and it shuts back on you. I just tell others "that's what happens when you have suicide doors"! Lol

And yes everything on the exterior of the car is off limits. If your getting out then shut the door with the handle or the rubber window piece. Close the trunk by pushing with 2 fingers on the chrome top of the bow tie. And don't even think about resting your arm on the A pillar as we chat in the driveway!! And don't dont scuff your shoes on the plastic of the door sill.

I let people drink and eat in them, so long as they dont drop anything or touch stuff with greasy hands. BUT, i will not let my doors be slammed under any circumstances. Thats one thing that gets under my skin and all my passengers know and respect that.

I can understand the no drinking or no eating in the car. Can even understand the no slamming the doors thing.

But have to say that the control of the radio thing is a bit OCD..... Are you afraid that they will wear out the buttons or knobs?? LOL

I let people eat and drink in my car. I expect people I allow to ride in the car to be clean. Most things can be cleaned and if they are eating them chances are I'm also eating. I think that if you worry too much you won't enjoy the car nor the people you hang out with. We do only live once and I'm sure one I'm dead the car won't even be a memory...
