Installing a Moroso Catch Can on a Whipple

Has anybody done this? If so could you please post a picture or two of where you put it? Of course the new tank I had to install is exactly where the can was supposed to go.

On a Whipple supercharger LS3, you'll want a Catch Can with (1) one Exit fitting integrated with a check valve (to prevent backwards flow) and (1) Inlet Fitting.

Do you sell these exit fittings with an integrated check valve? If so, please pm a price shipped to 20659. I've been running the elite catch can without this for a while with no issues

why do you need a check valve on a PD/roots blower? I am not saying your wrong I am just trying to understand as what I had read and learned previously PD/roots blowers do not need the check valve due to the way vacuum works with this type of blower application

I would not recommend the Moroso style catch can coupled with the Whipple 2.9L Supercharger...I had bad luck with it as it would allow too much "blow-by" through the catch can due to the inlet/exit port size, coupled with the vacuum pressure that the 2.9L creates...I would fill the catch can up in about an hours times of my engine running, which in turn would induce oil into the inlet of the supercharger - then the oil would burn off making my car look like an old smoky freight train!!! We went with the RX catch catch, smaller diameter inlet/outlet ports with a built in check valve, and my problem was solved...Below is a picture of the billet Moroso catch, it is better looking in my opinion, but the functionality of it coupled with the Whipple 2.9L in not practicle...hope this helps!

Can you tell me how you routed your hoses? I know the outlet of the catchcan runs to the whipple Inlet, but where does your catchcan inlet come from?

See post #23 for installation and pics. After buying a Whipple ($$$$!), why skimp on a Catch Can set-up?
