corvette buyers tour

Thinking about sighing up for it. My car is to be built in August. My issue is they say you might not see your car built. It is the only reason I would do it. Do I have anything to worry about?

The following is a subset from the Museum website:
Depending on when you sign up for this program. We’ll try to give approximately 5-10 days prior to your car’s build date. You will be contacted by a representative of the Museum to provide you with the estimated build date. At this time you can make travel arrangements. It is recommended that you purchase refundable airline tickets if you intend to fly, as the scheduled date may change due to unforeseen events that may increase or decrease production line rates.
Day of the Tour
You will be scheduled for a tour date and time. Please note that the plant operates from 6:12a.m. Central Time to 4:42p.m. Central Time. You may need to arrive the day prior to your tour if you are scheduled for an early morning tour. Production schedule Monday through Friday, production days and hours may vary. The Regular plant hours are 6:12 a.m to 4:42 p.m.
The NCM representative will contact you if there are any changes to your scheduled date or time. It is very important that we are provided with a cell phone number in order to reach you on short notice or after your arrival to Bowling Green .
No Guarantee
It is the desire of the Museum and the Assembly Plant that your tour experience enables you to see your new Corvette during your visit, but we cannot guarantee this as part of the program. The National Corvette Museum and the Bowling Green Assembly Plant will not be responsible for any costs you incur for this tour whether you see your car or not. You will not be entitled to a refund if you do not see your car, but we do promise that you will receive a memorable tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant.

My wife and I did the buyers tour and we followed our car through the assembly process (2 days). The museum team was in contact with me throughout the entire process to coordinate the schedule. It was an amazing experience. We also purchased the book and our guide was the one that took the pictures. It's a little pricey but IMO it was worth it.
Bring a little cash with you there's breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria.

Could you provide a few more details, i.e., the time you arrived each day, any breaks during the day, time departed each day, etc.? Does the buyers tour normally take two full days or are the days partial?

Thanks in advance.

Hey...hey! I just got my email with details for the Buyer's Tour. And, yes, it does look like production is running a little ahead of schedule. My TPW is 8/31. The car is scheduled to start on Friday, 8/28 and come off the line on Monday, 8/31 (done on the TPW date). Which is really great...gives me an excuse (like I need one) to spend a weekend in Bowling Green or maybe even slip on down to Nashville for a day.

Now...keeping my fingers crossed that all goes according to schedule.
