Mr Scott sir, I have a question.
Mr. Settlemire, er or can i call you mr ss? I have a question that has been haunting me lately. If you can't answer I understand but since seeing the production camaro I can't get the image of those(shown below) reverse lights. I noticed everything else yall did with the beast had great creativity and time put into it and it looks amazing. But why can't we get some reverse lights like on the vette?? so sexy. [shown below]
On a lighter note, thank you for your time and work on the camaro! Can't wait till spring |

Engineering, cost, and ease of manufacturing. Its part of life. Its also to late for at least this first incarnation of the camaro to change it now.
BTW if this is the biggest gripe on your list, feel grateful because to change this it will be very easy and probably only cost a couple thousand (relocation or different lights, fill and paint).

I like the lights we're getting, but the lights you want would be easy for you to do yourself -- and once you fill the holes from the old lights, you will have a custom car to be proud of.

I fully agree!!! Also, the photoshoped pic is what I'd want my Camaro's ass to look like. However, I really think the aftermarket will take care of this for us.

The exhaust in that pic looks great. Having two on each side flows really well with the taillights being the same count.

Well -- first of all -- it's "Scott" or "SS" -- the last person that called me "Mr. Settlemire" (a fellow named Shunt) doesn't seem to be around anymore...... Anywhoo -- We tried putting the backup lights in several places -- but because of packaging and then crashworthy issues, the lights moved to where they are. (go look at the Corvette -- look at the packaging of the exhaust system -- and then look at the Camaro -- there isn't a place to put them below.....and still meet bumper impact standards.) |
