And to the OP, nice pic. Nothing wrong with a pic of someone enjoying their ride and taking care of it as they see fit. There are benefits to using the two-bucket system, grit guards, and quality pads and towels but it's all in what level of "good" you are willing to accept.

I use two buckets but only have a grit guard in the one I use to rinse with. Some people have guards in both. I don't see the point, already had one bucket, bought the Adams basic wasn n' wax kit and didn't feel like buying an extra guard. So there's one example. Also, scrub as hard as I can against the grit guard and my Adams mit still has the occasional dirt particle stuck in it so it's not an exact science anyway.

Short of washing your car with a brick, anything is better than never washing it at all.

No secret at all. The only thing i have ever used is Adams products. I wash wheels first. Empty out bucket, refill then do the top half of car, repeat and do bottom half all with different mitts.

As for the Adams thing. It was on this site. Adams posted up a thread where you just entered a pic of the shine on your car and they chose the top 10 entries. I think the recently did it again for 2012.

Congrats on your accomplishments. That is an impressive set of mods on your ride.

So, as I understand this, you use one bucket and you refill it with soap and water three times?
