Here's a tentative route and plan to get to Lake Havasu. According to Googlemaps, this is 289 miles and 4 hours 44 minutes. I'm figuring 6-6 1/2 hours for gas stops, and photo ops when we hit the Colorado River. I would reccommend we carry portable handheld radios (for fun) and maybe even have a couple good old fashion CB radiors to help keep everyone from missing turns and avoidance of those guys with all the lights in thier grills. Just a suggestion. I welcome any input to make this an amazing and safe weekend.

Friday, Jan 24
Meet at Wal Mart Supercenter on Los Coches in El Cajon (the same meeting place we use for Borrego Springs) at 12:00 (noonish). Fill up, meet and greet and hand out printed maps and any other "special instructions". Leave around 1:15.

Apparently, the new venue is more family friendly than Laughlin. I didn't go last year, but after seeing all the pics, I couldn't wait to go this year. I figured I'd take the lead for us SoCal folks..hopefully we'll have a nice turnout.

It would be one heck of a road trip from Oregon, especially in Jan.

I went the first 2 years. We meet in Laughlin NV then cruised with 80+ Camaros to Lake Havasu. Nick and Dar do a great job managing the whole event. I would go but wife is due kn Feb 10th.
