interesting.. i've never worked on a car before in my life besides changing my oil and replacing batteries/spark plugs, but the CAI only took like 15 minutes to install properly. hardest part was fighting the right tools. maybe it's a testament to how well built the cold air inductions systems are though.

DIYer's like that keep me in business. I do as much work correcting other shops or individual's install's as I do new installs here.
I love it when someone comes in and asks us for recommendations, then go buy the parts on the internet, try to install it themselves or take it to a shop without any knowledge of the performance aftermarket or even familiar with Camaro's for that matter, and then come in and tell us how bad the cars run with those parts. Most of the quality parts available come with great install instructions, yet most just refer to the section were they get stuck. Read instructions thoroughly before you start. And if you don't understand them clearly its time to ask for qualified help or take it to a professional. The difference between a good modified car and a bad one is the quality of the parts and installation. The best parts wont work if installed poorly. |
