It's front mid-engined as opposed to C8 which is rear mid-engined.

There is no way they are running the exhaust like that.

It's the rear wing.

Another post on FA came out covering the leak.

Quote:
Expect the Ford Mustang GTD to be another Multimatic product, since the company is currently an important partner for The Blue Oval, currently responsible for the Ford Bronco DR and the specialty Mustang Dark Horse racing variants. The company produced the Ford GT through March of 2023. So far, it seems like this model will be somewhat of a successor to the GT, as the media invite for tomorrow’s event claims it will boast the “performance of a supercar” with the “soul of an icon.” We’ll find out if that’s the case tomorrow.

It's a swan neck wing. The better Trans Am racers have them too. It's avant-garde aero stuff. Yeah, it could look better.

They are probably exiting the exhaust under the diffuser to speed up flow there. At least that's what one formula SAE team did, that I chatted with a decade back.

Well, it was pretty light on any actual info. 8sp transaxle, 50/50 weight distribution, 800+HP, magnesium wheels, lots of carbon fiber, 325/30/20 front tires, 345/30/20 rear tires, titanium exhaust, carbon ceramic brakes, several auxiliary coolers/radiators, active aero, possible/likely $300k price tag.

Its a carbon fiber car using C5,C6,C7 type trans axle the engine is still up front.

The first pictures didn't have that much clarity after seeing the youtube video I now see that its a wing.

Well most sanctioning bodies have BOP so good luck showing your tail to the other supercars.

Semi-active suspension including spring rate and 1.5" ride height.
It's a technology power hitter.

Trans internals are aft of the diff, more like a C8's. It might be it.

It should be an R-spec version of a Lincoln Mark#.
Or add lightness with better balance as a Shelby Daytona.

Boy that makes sense… I can buy a wannabe mid engine car for 300K+ or I can buy a real mid engine Z06 for far less and likely have better performance…

I'm very curious about the talk of being capable of a sub 7 min Nordschleife Lap time. the Porsche 911 GT3 was mentioned and there are several models of 911 GT3 that have sub 7min times, e.g .
a 991.2 GT3 RS in Apr '18 @ 6:56.4,
a 992.1 GT3 in Sep '20 @ 6:55.34,
a 992.1 GT3 RS in Oct '20 @ 6:54.99 ,
a 992.1 GT3 RS in Oct '22 @ 6:44.848, and
a 992.1 GT3 Feb '23 @ 6:59.42.

So, I wonder which exactly did they aim to beat. There's a 14.57sec spread there.

Nah, you must remember to exercise the suspension of disbelief. It's likely to be classified as an SUV to go along with the mid-engine....lol

GM didn't make it because Camaro GT3 is no existence. Pratt&Miller only makes Camaro GT4. GT3 is belong Corvette.

Beside, P&M doesn't produce road car like Multimatic.

Definitely. That's the transaxle in the rear.

I know it wouldn't happen (especially since GM has the Corvette), but imagine an alpha chassis with those changes ZL1 1LE built by multimatic... carbon bodywork, carbon driveshaft, titanium exhaust, magnesium wheels + more aero!

There a few easter eggs coming out too, thedrive just posted that the interior titanium bits (paddle shifts, dial shifter, serial plate) are from a retired F22. Pointless? Yes. Super cool? Hell yes!
