Hello Camaro Fam.. I'm baaaack!

Its been a couple of decades since I last owned a Camaro. Last week I picked up a brand new 2018 LT/RS v6 that has 100 more horsepower than my old v8!

She should be ready for her camera shoot next week, just finishing up some black out details and gettin the tinting done

Sweet. I was a long lost soul for about 20 years also. Until the wife forced me into a new vert last September. It was hard but she was determined. Finally broke down and cashed in the kids college fund and went all out !!!! You will love it. Glad to have you back !!!

Ugh, if you have ever owned a firebird, you'll hear about all those guys that had one in the 60s or 70s with a "small block Pontiac" or "big block Pontiac". When I had a first gen Camaro, met a few guys that had a 65 or 66 Camaro too.

Congrats on the '18. I want to see pics of the '92 if you have them. I painted a '78 Firebird that year from a color option off of the Camaro. It was a green grey color similar to this(random pic from image search).

Yeah, and don't argue with them, "they were around back then" unlike "young guys" like me.

Must have been all the lead in the gas.

Yep...HP was drastically cut back in the 80s and 90s, didn't start to creep back up until the late 90s. The 65 and 66s are extremely rare if you can find one at all.

It was cut back in the 70's, crept back in the 80's. For example, '85 was the first time the Camaro cleared 200hp off the showroom floor in a decade (LB9 Tuned-port 305). It was upwards from there.

I said drastically. The first HP hit took place in 71, but it was negligable. Also I think it was 71 when they went from gross to net HP ratings.
