[VR] 2013 Centennial Z06 H/C/I 587rwhp

We were recently contacted by Chris from South Carolina who was looking to upgrade his 2012 Corvette Z06 Centennial edition. After discussing his performance goals and expectations for his build our customer opted for our STAGE V performance package and decided to upgrade to a B&B Fusion Exhaust system and Lingenfelter LNC-2000 controller for a 2-step function at the same time. Chris’ goal was to maximize performance while maintaining excellent drivability and delivering a balanced power-band. This is a tried and true combination on the C6 Z06 that consists of:
• Halltech Cold Air Induction System
• MSD Intake Manifold Fully Ported by VR
• Nick Williams 102mm Drive by Wire Throttle body
• Brodix BR-7 Cylinder Heads
• GM MLS Head Gaskets
• ARP Head Bolts
• Comp High Performance Lifters
• Vengeance Racing Custom Camshaft - KAOTIK
• Vengeance Racing Hardened Pushrods
• Trunion Upgrade
• Katech C5R Timing Chain
• ARP Cam Bolts
• GM LS7 Crank Bolt
• All Gaskets & Seals
• ATI 10% Underdrive LS7 Damper
• Appropriate Serpentine belts
• American Racing stainless long tube header system with CATTED X pipe
• GM Exhaust Manifold Gaskets
• NGK Gasket 6 Plugs 2756
• VR High Temp protective Heat Sleeves
• 160* Thermostat
• Billet Catch Can with AN Fittings/Lines
• Vengeance Racing High Flow Fuel Injectors
• Lingenfelter LNC-2000
• B&B Fusion Exhaust System

For Chris’ build we chose our KAOTIK camshaft profile as the basis for the build. This is not the biggest camshaft for the LS7, but provides great gains in HP and TQ as well as excellent street manners. We installed our Cam Kit plus which is available for purchase on our online store and provides everything you will need to complete a camshaft install. VR CAM KIT PLUS.

One thing that did differ from our standard packages on these cars is the use of the Brodix BR-7 cylinder heads. Typically we opt for either a CNC ported LS7 head or go straight to the MAST Motorsports offerings, however we were given the opportunity on this car to put our hands on the Brodix heads and test them for comparison with excellent results! Additionally to help feed this LS7 enough air flow we utilized a MSD intake manifold including our Vengeance Racing Porting Service, and a Nick Williams 102mm drive by wire throttle body. Lastly, we used a set of American Racing headers with their catted x-pipe per the customer’s request, mated up to a B&B Fusion exhaust system.

We knew this combination would be exactly what Chris was looking for and would exceed his expectations. Once the install was complete we strapped Chris’ Centennial Z06 to our chassis dyno resulting in a power output of 587rwhp! Chris now has the car in his hands and tearing up the streets of South Carolina after making his 5 hour drive home from the shop upon completion.
