What do you mean drives like stock. Could you clarify on fuel economy, idling, sound etc.

Yes if you don't open the hood you would never know it was supercharged from the outside at Idle or cruise.

Maybe Greg will chime in with Fuel economy.

Ted.

Just curious is whipple has a unit that will fit, or do they plan to develop one? Does the maggi fit under the stock hood?

Sorry for the delayed response I didn't get a notification.

Whipple does not have a unit to fit under the hood of the C7.

Magnacharger Heartbeat I expect will be released shortly

Edelbrock Just released the E-Force for the C7

Procharger just released a Centri Kit.

I am excited by all the new offerings hitting the market.

Ted.

Ted,
The East Coast Supercharger kit comes with both a 7lb and a 8lb restricter plate. For a C7, A6 that will not be tracked, which plate would you recommend if you were to do the install and tune?

Hello Alfie,
Congrats on the Vette hope your enjoying it.

I would stick with the 7 lb unless you want to move to Meth injection upgrade like we did on GregQs Vette.

I would like the opportunity to do the install and tune for you.

Ted.

Or should I go with another manufacturer like Edelbrock or Magnuson?
We have done a TON of Procharger systems on the LS and LT family of Corvettes, and they turn out great! Check out this video of Sam's C7. This is a job that we did in September I believe.

We've done quite a few Procharger builds for the C7 LT1 platform already and we get some pretty scary SAFE numbers out of them. Most kits will include gaskets, injectors and all of the things that most guys worry about. But to make it as easy and painless on you we actually built an easy to understand package for you guys. Check it out here.
We even have a video to show what that kit is capable of!
Here is Sam's C7:

Our kit includes almost 100% exclusive parts to us, including cam, head studs, main studs, rods, etc.... If you would like more info feel free to check out our site or feel free to give us a call.

Take a good hard look at ECS and give me a call with any questions.

I have been doing this for nearly 28 years professionally and I am not impressed easily.

Past Experience

I had a Vortec on my 97 C5 ... we pinned the crank, but, most imporantly, did a Lingenfelter fuel pump and injectors along with it. With some other mod's (headers, etc), we were turning 515RWHP. It was sick. However, seeing what Hennessy and LPE are doing for approx $11K, with a 3 year warranty, to me, it makes no sense not to give it to them and let them build you a monster. And, it will be worth more with the badging on it. Far less risk means happier driving. Which ever way you go, you will have fun! Good luck and enjoy!

From what I've heard, Procharger and ECS are the best value for the money.

We have had great success with the Edelbrock blower on the Corvette platform through many years and they make a very good amount of power with longevity and reliability.

Keep in mind also we do more than Supercharging we can take care of all your performance needs from tuning cold air intakes to more wild mods. Like cnc ported heads custom camshafts and most anything you may want.
