Seat tilting slightly back and forth

Hey guys,

i‘ve searched the forums and google but no one seemed to have an answer to this although it seems many people have this problem. i had it on my '18 2ss and now on my '18 zl1 1le.

Problem:

my seat is tilting and sometimes squeaking. mostly noticeable on medium stops. i can replicate it if i just sit in it in standstill with my upper body and my bum snuggled into the seat, legs not pushing down. when i pull myself to the steering wheel the whole seat assembly tilts forward (lower seat and backrest moving in 1 motion). it drives me nuts. the squeaking only occurs when the seat is in 1 position while driving over bumps where there is a weight change on the seat from the bump. (position almost all the way down and almost all the way back)
i tried looking under the seat while tilting it by hand but i don‘t see anything loose or wobbly.

i also have another problem where there is a rattling/clunking sound coming from the trunk area/rear window when going over slight bumps on the highway but i think imma open another thread for it as i‘ve seen some others have the same problem.

i really hope someone can point me in the right direction.

(sorry for the bad grammar, i‘m native in german not english lol)

thanks and have a great day,

Manz
