Just test drove a 392 Challenger

I had a challenger srt before my SS. Still love the challenger. I test drove a 392 yesterday and the car is a total monster. It was out of conytroll fast and felt much tighter than the previous model srt.

My dream garage is a 392 parked just next to my 2SS. We may be living in the most fun era of muscle cars ever!!

. Once they are able to do the SRT 392 in white, Im ordering that baby and will then move my bed into my garage so Im able to sleep next to those beauties.

A buddy of mine bought a V6 Challenger the other day. That thing is huge and boring.

Just went on to the "build your own" and it came in just under 50K, there arent too many options available factory. Still looks good though.

My neighbors a dealer and he said the SRT is gonna be limited to just over 1k units.

Your neighbor isn't 100% correct. The inaugural 392 edition will be limited to 1,100 units for the US, but then the every day SRT392 will go into production.

YIKES! I'm a dodge guy at heart (at least with trucks) but for that price I'll stick with the Camaro. When I was looking at the Challenger and the Camaro, the SRT-8 with all the same options was $10,000 more than my Camaro. I could have got the R/T (small Hemi) and cloth seats for the same price as my 2SS. My brand loyalty only goes so far, and at $10,000 my loyalty to dodge died! Plus my wife thinks the Challenger is ugly- so she fully endorsed the Camaro.

I almost ordered one a few weeks ago but bought the Shelby instead. I really like the 392 in white but I tried and tried to convince myself I could get used to the look of the seats, showed pics to people and all said the same, UGLY seats. Well, I still don't like the Mustang's rear apperance but hey, I only see it when I wash the car whereas you have to sit in an ugly interior. JMO.

Why anyone buys those things is beyond me. Of the 3 muscle cars, its the last one I'd get if I was buying a V6. It has the most weight and the least hp. And the previous V6s were even worse, only 250hp and a 4-speed auto.
