When the constraint is 40 to 50 per cent of production the smaller dealers will have a good chance of getting a Z51 order accepted. The largest dealers will not take all of them, whether because Chevy will not allow it or more likely they know that option will not appeal to a customer walking in off the street as much as it will appeal to a customer who has studied knowledge of what is wanted. So I am saying the initial chances of getting a Z51 were with the largest dealers but as the next several weeks go by will not be exclusively theirs.

I have in other posts referenced the hold litigation has over this process, and this is an example.

I ordered my car at a small dealer on June 26th, my allocation finally came up on October 3rd.But I couldn't order with the Z51 option.I was bumped from the number 2 spot to the number 3 spot. I just hope when the next allocation comes up, My dealer can submit a Z51 order. I hope you are right about the large dealers not getting all of the Z51 cars that can be ordered.

I heard today that the constraint was lifted/up'd yesterday...anybody know more about that?

I never followed Bob Dylan too closely even though he was from Northern Minnesota's iron range, near where Highway 61 starts (really starts in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada).

Okay so my dealer said I am next in line and they are ready to place my order and it needs to be in on Monday. The dealer told me they had 1 allocation come through on Thursday for a Z51 & carbon roof to order. Is my dealer guarantee that allocation if they get it in before Tuesday? The dealer sheet says the targeted production period is from Nov/18 through the 24th before the Holiday plant shut down. If they get my order in on time dose that mean my order will be built in NOV?

Last I heard, it went up to 136 available nationally. That was from BeckyD when I talked to her on last Thursday or Friday. So, things have improved a bit...from 0 before that.

I was able to place a order on a black Z51 yesterday at a local dealership. I called over 10 dealers and all the others said they couldn't order one yet...

Yes I do. Actually, that's the wife's. I had it for a few months and talked her into taking it so that I could get the Zl1. Now I have talked her into taking the ZL1 so that I can have a Stingray.
