Man, I really like the way she howls through those gears! That's some sexy sh!t right there!!

I've had mine back for almost a week now and I love the rushing sound of the Procharger. Don't believe I will ever get tired of it.

Curious if the taller gears have made a difference in your shift timing. I had 3.91 gears installed in mine and I feel like I should have gone lower, maybe even lower than 4.11

I probably wont know for sure until I get to the track, but so far I like the change from 4.11 to 3.70 gears. My car is making so much power now that on the street I still spin through 1st and 2nd even with the 3.70 gear. I know it is bound to help me on the top end but I really hate airing it out on the street to find out.

As to shift timing, as RPM's go up so does power and right now with the limiting plate installed in the blower suction it seems that the real power band is between 5000 - 6500 RPM. I didn't notice a lot of loaf between shifts in the video, lol. 1st gear almost didn't count because I spun so bad I had to shift almost immediately. At the track it is a different story though because I switch to a softer DR, complete a decent burn out, and get the advantage of a prepared track so the car doesn't spin hardly any (at least with my old setup). Guess I will find out on 8/26 if it pans out.

I'm with you on the power curve. Yep, she comes on strong around 5k all the way to my 6.8k cutoff.

I took a co-worker out for a spin this morning who owned a 67 RS 327 manual back in the day. I quick shifted 1st and 2nd, then let her pop the top from 3rd to 4th. It's now lunch and the grin is still on his face. LOL!

Keep me posted on the 8/26 date. I have a second office in Conroe and could drive her down from Big D to H Town.

After we tinkered there for a bit we left and on the way home I decided it was time to see what it had. I have just barely hit it a few other times and honestly, I was skeptical that I had made the right decision because I did not feel the same "pull" power that the Maggie had. You just have to believe me when I say that this short video does not do the car justice. When I showered down on that F-1X it was game on my friends. I am anxious to see what sort of difference it will make at the track because I could "feel" the extra 100 HP for sure! I shut it down barely into 4th gear and we were moving so fast my eyes were glued on the road, not the speedometer

Here is to hoping my YSi will sound like when I hit it.

Hmmm, wonder what is cost to enter that event?

Are you entering your car?

Is this a NHRA sponsored event? If so, then I may need a cage for running low 10's or dare I say, high 9's?

Next weekend royal purple,

and I forgot but I'll ask for you. I wanna say it's 50$ for a tech card and maybe another 50$ per class you enter. Lol it's royal purple they barely even check if you have a helmet on half the time

and nah my 1st gear synchro kind of giving out on me so i rather not push my luck, especially since my car just like to spin from anything below a 50

I looked at the race calendar on the Royal Purple website. Yes it looks like $50 for a tech card. Not even sure why I asked what it would cost because I was more concerned about what safety equipment I would need.

At track rentals you can just about get away with anything - I was running mid 10's with no helmet, but I wasn't sure about this type of event. I would think they would turn up the strict card a bit.

For all Houston area friends, I plan to attend the LS Nationals this Saturday (7/15) at Royal Purple Raceway. I don't think I will race my car this time but it appears I would fit into the "True Street" class, however I don't want to make a total fool of myself entering a class with everyone running mid to high 9's and me running 10's lol. Think I will just watch this year and see how it goes!

For those of you planning to attend, we should meet up somewhere.

– Inspection and insured
– 3,000lb weight minimum
– DOT-legal tires (no slicks)
– 30 mile cruise. Can not fill up until 1st round is over

True street can be tough. In the Mustang world I have buddies the run high 7's low 8's single power adder.
