Will production/shipping shut down for holidays?
Just wondering if anybody knows whether the C7 production line & shipping will shut down for the holidays & when? Have a TPW of 12/15 and hopping it won't get produced then get stuck just sitting in the hold lot till first of the year. Waiting for my first Corvette to arrive is like watching paint dry/grass grow. Oh well guess I have been waiting for years just have to be patient.

Production will halt until the first Monday in January. Bank on it.
By history, transporting will not halt but will be inconsistent. This means transportation is presently consistent. (Military Intelligence anyone?) Laborsmith |

I have the same concern. Mine was built 12/3. Now waiting for courtesy delivery to SF Bay Area in CA. I expect I won't see it until early January.

Exact same boat TPW 12/15. Live in Texas hoping shipping continues through the holidays. I'd assume it would I think they outsource and most company's don't close that long.

Last year, my C7 TPW was 12/16 (off the line 12/17). I took delivery in Texas on 12/26. So have faith!

Keeping my fingers crossed and hope my experience will go like yours. Once produced it just has to make it to GA from KY and my dealer/Atlanta area is fairly big so hope they have a truck leaving quickly. Would be nice for it to arrive by Christmas but not holding my breath.

If your experience is like mine, the last few days before it's built is agony, and then once it's built it's as if time stops and it takes FOREVER to get into your hands. You can be at the dealer when they "unwrap" it and prep it for you.
GM uses Jack Cooper as the sole transport company for the Vettes and the trailer will have only vettes on it. Last year, I was told that the driver worked on Christmas Eve (I was hoping I would get it then as well), took off Christmas Day, and then worked the next day. The key is having it built before the plant shuts down, but if you have your TPW already, then it probably will be built on that week. |
