Prices of v6s
Hey guys and gals,
I have been contemplating selling my camaro v6. It's a 2011 v6 rs ( best colour yellow ) and has 23k on the clock. I'm struggling to think of a price to put her up for as on auto trader there are others up for 25k etc. what's your views? Cheers jason Last edited by Jas86; 04-02-2015 at 02:34 AM. |

Are you fed up with it already, old chap? or are you going V8?
Back in February, I was given £17995, as a trade in, so you're probably looking at £20,000, as a private sale max. If you look at the cars offered at mid twenties money, you'll see they are hanging around for months. Looking at it logically, most three year old cars are worth about half their new value, and the Camaro cost me £28000 + a few costs, so that would mean £14000. However it is a bit special, and an excited punter may just be conned out of a few extra bob. |

Yellow's ok... but I think you meant to say SILVER
It's a cracking car.... there isn't that much room for improvement.... other than another higher spec Camaro. Cheers Bluey |

Hi jas, I've been looking for a yellow camaro. Originally had a deposit for a yellow v6 for £17,000 (no rs pack) then just before I went to pick it up the fella backed out. Then was offered a red convertible for £16k which I nearly went for but I had my heart set on yellow. I've seen a few v8s going for £20-24k but again not yellow.
I've seen a lot of people go for v6s then change their mind and want a v8. The main thing for me is the colour but would I end up regretting not saving for the v8? |

Thanks for the reply. I've currently got an s2000 standard so it's pretty nippy round corners as I'm sure you're used to the same with your 350z. Do you think a v6 will be a big power difference?
Yeah there was Black v8 with 25k that was up for £23k, an inferno orange v8 that went for £24k (but I know he bought it for £21.5k a few months ago) with 25k on. And a total respray in lambo orange (but it's a catD) for £23k. There's a red one on auto trader for £25k with 8k on it. But it's been up a while. And I've been keeping my eye on a yellow v6 that's been popping up the past 6 months but I think his price is a bit high. I've just had a baby so I need 4 seats so the v6 might be ok???? Or would you advise holding for a v8. Thanks again |

The v8s do seem to go quicker and more popular. So I'll guess I'll have to weigh it all up. I saw a silver one on eBay that didn't get past £12k on bids so I guess there's always the option of wrapping it in yellow.
Lovely car though |

I've got to sell my baby
Not by choice, unfortunately divorces don't come cheap. How much do you guys think I could get for her? 2010 V6 RS, custom 2 tone paint job, K&N air charger. 8 months MOT. 40K on the clock. I've enjoyed every minute of Camaro ownership, absolutely gutted to have to let her go |

Hi choda, not sure on a price all the price, they seem to vary so much.
Is this the one that was on eBay a while back imported from Lithuania or somewhere? Cheers |

Yea, that's the one. I've only owned her a few months. It was already in the country but not registered. I paid 18K, then got stung by HMRC for late notification penalty on top because the guy selling it hadnt done it! She is almost immaculate. Had her inspected by a mechanic before I parted with any cash, and obviously fully HPI checked. I then had to get the SVA certificate and registered so I've spent a fair few quid on her. I'd like to at least recoup most of it.
