Hey guys,
Cheers for the measurements RickGM. So for now I've given up on the idea of destroying my house to fit the camaro. The girlfriend didn't like the suggestion of taking the living room down. Over the last few weeks I've visited different garages which have been listed for rent, all of which were too small. Nearly every garage I came across wasn't long enough nevermind the width. All the ones I found so far are 2110mm to 2130mm wide. This means only having up to 22cm to open the door and get out of the car, I'm not a fatty but that is gonna be a tough one lol. Not to mention that the passenger side would have to be nearly touching the wall to achieve 22cm. Yellow1, if you would like a red beast permanently parked next to your yellow beast, I would gladly drive to Stratford to use the other half of your double garage. You know it makes sense, we could help each other reverse out as well, haha :-) Cheers for all of the measurements guys, still waiting for the car to get the the UK. It's in the middle of the atlantic ocean at the moment. http://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9363364 See you soon. |

I just Wax the hell outta mine.
Got a Car Cover for really bad weather. If it gets a bit weathered then that's my excuse for upgrades, wraps, style changes ... If it gets nicked I buy a new one. QED #win #win |

Mine lives permanently outside on my drive, has never seen a bottle of Autoglym, gets an occasional wash (ie just before a Camaro UK meet) and after 2 years looks as good as new after its wash. Stop worrying. :-)

Remember, it ain't life or death, it's a car - a very nice car, but a car. It will survive mis-use, abuse, road salt, etc and still be a head turner and conversation piece everytime you pull in to a petrol station, car park or stop at traffic lights. It will put a smile on your face every time you stamp on the loud pedal and every time you look out of the window at it - and all without pampering it with a garage, underseal or anything that might be recommended by other car geeks. You can't fail to enjoy it.

I was fed up with our titchy little English garage, and so, inspired by American ones, I had this made:

Pete - if you stabled yer motor next to mine, the keys and the wife would probably disappear in very short order mate! I have to hide my keys, she loves mine as much as I do. Rick is bang-on about the 'Camaro-effect' - it's amazing at garages, in traffic jams, pub car-parks; and I'm still grinning from burbling along the A34 a week ago.
Look forward to seeing yours when it arrives, if you're Brum-based, you won't be far from me. We can be sad old b45tards together, sitting with a cup of tea in the driveway grinning like idiots. |
