Windshield Scratch on Brand New C7

I took delivery of my C7 on March 1st. I didn't notice it at first, but when I cleaned the bugs off my windshield the next day, there it was. A vertical scratch, about 4 inches long on the passenger side of the windshield. My guess is the transport personnel used their razor knife to make an opening in the white plastic wrap when they took the car off the transport.

Now, what to do? Chevrolet is willing to replace the windshield. But would I be trading one problem for another (or others)? Exterior damage, interior damage, water leak?

What other options do I have? Your thoughts please.

Windshields are commonly replaced. If you lived in Colorado it would be at least an every few years occurrence on cars that are driven a lot. I'm sure the C7 is built so that the windshield can be replaced in the usual manner which should mean no further damage if yo up pick a good shop to do it.

A lite scratch can be polished out- you can buy kits that buff off acid rain etching or lite scratches- I had a scratch on a Camaro from a skateboard coming out of a pk trk....got it out
