Airbag Warning Sticker

Has anybody removed the airbag warning stickers from the visors? I don't want to try to start to remove them to find out they don't really come off.

They aren't really stickers. They're more like an iron-on decal and can't readily be removed without damaging the fabric on the visor. There's several on-line vendors selling black vinyl decals to cover them. That would be your best option. One forum member used carbon-fiber pattern Dynoc which really goes well if you have the carbon dash trim.

I do have a carbon fiber dash, however, not thinking that would look all that great on the visor. Guess I'd have to see it.

Okay... I tried to do this to mine and I ended up having to buy new mirrors. They're $75.00 per visor from Gm. I spent HOURS at a table with a blow dryer and goo-be-gone and it was all for nothing. I would not try doing it again. Just my advice, a lot of people on here seem to do it very easily.

Sounds like a sticky situation. I would not attempt to take the label off.

That's what I am doing. Have the parts but no car yet. Thanks for the idea.

The seatbelt warning stickers are obnoxious on so many levels; "Don't put a child in front seat or they may be killed" - seriously - in a Vette. They are UGLY, government lunacy and repeated in SPANISH?? OK - they are a sticker and can be removed. I used a heat gun and they peal rather easily, hairdryer would probably work. Be careful as it is easy to get a "bubble" w. too much heat. I did, but it came out. After removal you will find a film of glue. I noted in forum a 3M product works - I could not find at several stores. I used Motsenbockers Liftoff found at any Lowes. It does remove the glue and will not harm fabric. I had to apply heavily twice (use a towel to apply, do not spray). Wash the Liftoff away w. soapy water.
