Atomic Orange Metallic Z06

Check out this new color on the 07 Z06 (Atomic Orange Metallic) . Oh, and they added 4K to the base price. Bigger glove box and minor interior changes.

The Z06 Chevrolet Corvette is selling like hotcakes and for good reason. No car in its price range offers that much power and handling ability, albeit with a less than fantastic interior. Chevy knows a success when they see it, and as such, they're bumping up the prices on the 2007 Corvette by $4,300. Their excuse is a larger glove box. Right, because the glove compartment costs four grand.

Well, that's not the only change that the 07 Corvette is receiving. OnStar will now be available as an option, and they're throwing in what they call "improved interior acoustics." That could mean a little extra sound deadening material in the doors and such (Dynamat is expensive, you know).

Moreover, if the current selection of paint jobs doesn't tickle your fancy, you can get an 07 Vette in "Atomic Orange Metallic", a color that some describe as the bastard child of ketchup and mustard... I'll leave that up to you (and your banker) to decide as you plop down $70,000 on this beast of a vehicle.

I just built one on Chevy's website; total MSRP $77,480.00 and that’s with out the $695 OnStar option. Can you imagine what this thing would cost you after tax and license? On top of that, most dealers are marking them up 10 grand…

well I know the dealer in my home town is marking them up to well over 100k. we stopped to look at a use z06 and the dealer said new that thing went for 110$. and that I would be able to pick that one up for about 75-80k if I wanted it. I'm like shit I'm enlisted in the military think I can barely afford a 30k$ car. lol.

Well, If anyone is looking for a Z06 in San Antonio, go to Brown Chevrolet. That was the dealer I mentioned earlier that has a waiting list of 10 people right now, but they sell them at MSRP. Not too fond of the color myself, but the car is freakin awesome. Now the Sunset Orange Metallic, I could definetly go for.

I would like to see this color as well as the Sunset Orange Metallic on a Camaro. Total agree with you on the Sunset Orange Metallic... Oh, I forgot one thing, the Atomic Orange Metallic is a 700 to 800 dollar option on the 07 Z06.

Ah, they don't make that color any longer in the Z06 ;( I'll wait 4 more years...

Edit: Nope, I see it's still there! Hopefully it will be there for the C7!
