Hands down best overall package (IMO) is the Uniden R3.

I have two Uniden LRD950's and an Escort MAX 360 in my vehicles. I have not been disappointed in the Unidens at all. I plan to pick up a new R3 to try out during the next couple of months.

I have always used Escorts, but after doing a lot of research the last few days I ordered the Uniden R3.

I currently use the escort redline which is great for Ka and distance and that’s about it. No k band filtering so Cadillacs, Audi’s, mini vans, and newer gmcs set off the k band quite a bit. Luckily only a handful of towns and cities here use k band radars.

Thinking to replace with a uniden and put this one in the rs

I installed my BlendMount yesterday in the 17 ZL1 and used T-taps to get power from the purple/white wire and ground from the black wire in the overhead panel. The BlendMount is awesome and works perfectly. I've had clones, but the real deal is worth the money. The hardest part was tapping the wires. If I had to do it all over again, I'd order an 18" mirror tap. You don't have a lot of room to work with to access the wires to solder or tap. It's doable, but a long mirror tap wire is what I'd do. My solution cost about $15, versus around $40 for a mirror tap kit.

I'm using my Uniden LRD950 for now and will swap in the R3 when it arrives this week.

Sorry to revive an older thread, but how is the view with the Blendmount on the Escort? The Escort Max 360 is a pretty big unit and I have the driver's seat up a little, so I'm worried about the detector blocking my field of view.

I was thinking about using the suction cup and mounting it to the left of the rear view mirror, but I prefer the sturdiness of the Blendmount.

I have a regular Max (not the 360), but I have absolutely no visibility problems with the Blendmount setup. Turned out to be a very clean install.
