I don't know if anyone has noticed but the C8 Zora/ZR1 section was taken off Katech's website.

I'd be surprised if GM wasn't involved in all of that. Katech certainly knows not to release early info like that.

GM has a way of leaking just enough info to keep interest peaked.

The story says the C8 is codenamed "Emperor." It's expected to be shown to the public in 2018

Everytime I see something about 2018, I feel like its so far away, then I realize that we are more than halfway through 2016.

If there is a mid engine, it's been under development for years. Waiting another 2 years seems unnecessary. I would expect something in January, unless those new spy shots are the ZR1.

im wondering if its going to be mid engined because its going to be DOHC. theres no way a DOHC engine could fit under the hood of the current vette. the cams make the engine so much bigger.

I've read several articles that say it will be DOHC twin turbo...I sure hope not!

Completely unconfirmed and pure speculation until more information arrives.

On that note though, there is another rumor regarding CT6 receiving a 4.2L TTV8...
This post is still unconfirmed and pure speculation, but with the Escala concept last week came confirmation of a 4.2L TTV8 in development for production cars...

It says something like "Stop, this is a pre-production vehicle that has not been revealed to the public and must be camoed before going out."
