Road Course Day...Sign up now...SAN MARCOS
Registration is now open to all , not just Camaro owners...She gave us three weeks notice to sign-up before letting everyone else sign up.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN AND WILL FILL UP SOON... http://harrishillroad.com/ Velocity Adventures Saturday Aug 21 Harris Hill Road, San Marcos, TX LINK TO REGISTRATION PAGE http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...AFE6BF28E0B20D Last day to register online:Wed Aug 4, 2010 Please join us for a day of fast fun at Harris Hill Road! If you've wanted to do a track day but not commit the entire day to it, this event is for you! This specific event will be a HALF DAY format which incorporates a full day of track time. It is limited to NOVICE (Green, never been on track before) and BEGINNER (Blue, at least one event completed, instructed) drivers. Instructors will be provided for all students at this event. If you are an INTERMEDIATE (yellow solo) or ADVANCED (Red) driver, please register for the August 22 event instead! Please note that because this is a half day event, lunch will not be provided for this event and the cost for the day is reduced in consideration. This track features 1.8 miles of asphalt covering twists, turns, and elevation changes, and the event will be capped at 26 cars, so everyone will get plenty of uncrowded time to learn and play. This track is a private, members-only facility, so it's a special privilege to be invited to hold an event here. We reserve the right to remove anyone who, in our judgment, at the event is acting in a reckless or uncooperative way, and entry fees will not be refunded. The registration fee is $155. Cars are required to have passed a tech inspection 30 days or less before the event by a qualified ASE mechanic, and they MUST be quieter than 99 dB at 30 feet away. (if your car is stock, you'll very likely have no issues at all adhering to this). Attached Images

I was pretty excited until I saw the 99db limit :(
There is no way my Corvette falls into that. This looks like a really fun course! I've run road courses, but never with elevation change yet. Good luck to all who go. Running a road course is seriously one of the most fun things you will ever do. |

After the cruise and the few hills and turns we hit I'm all charged up for this, so I signed up. I hope the car gets in and out of the shop by then and I get the tech done (maybe the dealer can complete).
So part of the tech form is I have to have a helmet so I can be hit in the head by a broomstick Does anyone have a helmet I can use for this event? Would really like not to have to buy one. Anyway, for those of you who are still thinking about this last day to sign up is AUG 4! Only 3 Camaro's on the list right now, so let's get more on the list. If you think the drag strip is fun, this will really be a blast

You should come out and do this. It appears that the "boys" and their bad ass V8's are not up to this, so it look's like it up to us "girls" and our V6 to show them how it's done

i may do this..according to the site, helmets can be provided if you do not have one.
Do you know how to get inspection done? Do you just pop in at any shop? Their FAQ site is down. |
