If not for the 5th gen Camaro's, I would have probably leaned towards a 5.0 Mustang. I don't care much for the 2015 models, but the 2013-2014 GT Mustang's are nice. If money wasn't a concern, you would probably see me driving around in a brand new Z06 Corvette.

At the time I wanted a ruby red Camaro I most likely would have stayed with what I had a Harley f150 that performed just so so...300 h.p., and eventually either gone for a restored built old chevy which I did dozens of times or eventually got a c-7, I would not have gotten the heavy turd challenger or the mustang as both are more problematic than the Camaro I know I belong to True Delta and report my reliability and repairs...over two Camaros 0 Zero zip zilch nada, and one was a automatic vert....

Dunno, I didn't really look at anything else this time. After testing a few with my wife though, maybe a WRX

For years I looked at buying a WRX STi, really fun car with a lot of potential, but I wanted a Camaro since 25 years now, so I'm really happy GM released the 5th gen. I often considered a newer Mustang 5.0 but they seem to be more common around here. I'd love to own a 69 Camaro someday.

Mustangs are as common if not more common then Honda civics (I will never in my life own one and challengers are alright just wayyyyy to heavy)

Ideally an 03-04 Cobra and maybe an older Shelby - maybe. I really don't like the 05-09 cars but I'm sure I could find ways to fix that. If not that, I'd most certainly be in some form of WRX.

Interesting thought. Now that i think about it, isn't the 2005 Mustang the catalyst for both the 5th gen Camaro and the Challenger? Had the Mustang not gone retro, would any of the pony cars have made a resurgence? So if that were the case, how would we answer the original question? I'd probably still be in a truck or SUV full time.

If the 5th Gen never existed I would be driving a 2014 Mustang 5.0 or Nissan 370Z.

Either a mustang or challenger. I was looking at both when I bought my camaro. I prefer the challenger, but it is a lot easier to find a mustang around here in my budget so I probably would have ended up with one of them.

SRT8 Challenger or Scat Pack Challenger, I was actually researching the Challenger back in 2009 but decided on a 2010 Camaro instead once I discovered that the drivers seat could be lowered and my head was no longer hitting the ceiling. LOL

I would still have my 2008 Saturn Aura that I traded in when I bought my Camaro.
