My Turn, Hash Marks!

Hey, wanna thank TxBandit911 for giving me the gumption to step out and cut my hood!!
It looks pretty good. One tip is to go slow.

The other tip is to never cut across a line you will be removing. In other words, cut the entire "E" shape as one piece. I cut a little deep my first pass and it showed but is repaired now. (you can see my booboo in the third pic) Easy fix if you screw up.

I just used a grey washable pencil that seamstresses use (seen in second pic) to draw my marks and then cut along the side of a metal ruler.

the hardest part was removing the wrap under the lip of the hood. GM did a great job wrapping these hoods. Made me look at the whole job and its next to perfect on the overlap.

It's not my thing, and would not show up on a black car anyway, but you did a nice job. Way to go!

Happy with it, thanks for the push.lol
Finished that up and decided to redo the ceramic coating on the car. Did it two years ago and haven't looked back. Two years was long enough so stripped her down and laid the new coating on. Tomorrow is buff day.

I'm still trying to figure out how you cut away part of the hood wrap without cutting into the paint finish? Would seem pretty unreasonable to think you can take a razor blade and cut the wrap in all places and not hit the hood at all . . .

Take your time and use a light touch. Worked for me. Any fine scratches you may end up with buff right out anyway.....

No, it is not,
I mean, do not get me wrong, it is awesome, but this is what installing sex directly on your hood looks like:

Honestly it looks like red electrical tape. Those hash marks make me think of Dodge for some reason. The rims are interesting too. JMO please do not get offended...
