Isn't that supposedly going to be unibody as well?

Agree with this for a Colorado V8. Smaller, offers a good hp/tq increase and it might require less work to fit

If the 5.3 can fit in there, the 6.2 can as well. The 6.2 is just bigger on the inside. On the outside, they're the same size.

Can't describe how awesome the zr2 would be with more hp than current.

CAFE preventing this from happening perhaps?

I agree on degree of awesome. I'd wait in line if this thing had a V8. The enthusiast community may not be enough though.

I would guess so.

No v-8 isn't hurting the raptor any right now.

I would guess the reason for no V-8 in the Colorado is probably because it doesn't need one OR equipping it with the V-8 would put it to close to the Silverado in terms of capabilities/price/Etc

The TTV6 in the Raptor makes 450 hp and 510 lb ft. I don't think Ford has a V8 putting out those kinds of numbers.

The ZR2 will make at best 308 hp and 275 lb ft from the V6 or 181 hp and 369 lb ft from the diesel. Compared to 455 hp and 455 lb ft from the LT1.

I think the Raptor should have the Voodoo option.

The Voodoo doesn't wake up until after 3k rpm. I don't see it working well in a truck. The 5.2 block with a cpc would be interesting.

A10, program the shift points, different rear end. Problem solved.

BTW it doesn't have "no torque" it has it's powerband in the higher RPMs
