Headliner

Hey everyone,

I'm thinking of sound deadening the roof of my ride, and I wanted to know if any of you have done this, and how difficult it is to remove and replace the headliner. Any tips, suggestions, and experience is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a lot of work for not a lot of return. Most of the cabin noise comes from road noise. Sound deadening works best on floorboards, doors, etc. You might not notice a difference.
I find the 5th gen very quiet. I came from 3rd and 4th gens, they were noisy. I remember I put a whole bunch of sound deadening in my 2002 Camaro and was so happy how quiet it was, then I got the 5th gen and was like, "WHAT! Its this quiet from the factory!" Its better than my 4th with aftermarket stuff.

I have done the trunk, and will be doing the floor and doors as my install progresses, so this is basically a feeler as to how much farther disassembly will need to go to remove the liner and reinstall. I'm assuming I'll have most of the interior out of the car as I'm doing the floor, so is it simply removing the a and b pillars, or way more in depth?

Thanks man! That looks like a major PITA! I'm gonna call it dimishing returns and leave it at that. If I did go for it, I would prob just drop it down and reach in to install deadened, but it still doesn't look like it's worth it!
