I've heard it was supposed to be a 6.2 ltr supercharged as well. That is as close to correct as I have heard according to what info I have. I'm not 100% positive on anything here, but I've heard the 6.2 from a rather good source as well.

i guess if they planned on getting 650 hp out of itthe 6.2 would make more sense, especially if they plan on having about 450 out of a n/a 6.2

Spycam: More shots of the 2008 Corvette Blue Devil/Stingray/Mako Shark/Super Sport

Whatever Chevy is calling it months before its official reveal, the supercharged 7.0 liter Corvette, the one with the Dodge Viper-sized hood bulge, is expected to deliver at least 600 horsepower to the rear wheels.

Extensive use of lightweight alloys is expected to drop the fastest Vette even further below the Z06's impressive 3234 pound curb weight. While the car looks ready for a Detroit motor show debut at this point, its unveiling is still months away.

Expect to see some "used" C6 ZO6's as their owners step up to the new 'King of the hill' Vette.

I straight up asked Scott about this....saying "Let me say this: Blue Devil, Corvette SS, Sting Ray, Z07." His response was basically (and he nor I can be quoted on this cause I seriously can't remember), "I'm not saying a word about that and don't try to get any more info about it. I will say, there will not be an SS or Blue Devil." That, to me, meant that a possibility existed that the new super vette could still be made and called the Sting Ray (a suitable name) or the Z07.

This whole deal ^ makes it sound to me like it was all a hoax. If this is all a hoax, I'm going to be one very dissapointed person.

Hmmm....I'm still thinking there will be a more exotic Vette and that the name will be either 'Stingray', 'ZO7', or something we don't know about yet.

Yep, that car was a fake. I would still count on a 'super vette' from GM
