catch can noise

I installed a mishimoto catch can today. When I started the car it makes a loud sucking noise. Is that normal? Please say yes.

Not sure about this particular brand of catch can.... but I have the Elite Engineering catch can. No sucking noise on that one. I am yet to see that particular brand mentioned around here. Hopefully somebody that has the one you have can shed some light.

I hope so too. It worries me and I don't want to have to spend more money on another one lol

Noise is not normal, check your connections and make sure the catch can isn't damaged.

My elite CC makes a vacuum hissing noise. I'm pretty sure it's the nature of the rubber hoses that came with it. I'd say it's normal.

Try a better quality hose ...pinch the hose if it quiets down its the hose

It's the hose. My Elite made a loud hissing sound when first installed. The hose id is not perfectly round. By rotating it on the fittings (each end) an equal amount, like 45 degrees, the hiss pitch will change. It did on mine and now it's barely noticeable with the hood up.
