whats insane about turbocharging a v-6? still cheaper than an SS, and still better MPG

No way it's cheaper. By the time you price out the turbo kit+labor you could easily be in an SS. Oh, and say goodbye to your warranty and hello to horrible resale.

I understand and agree on the warranty thing, but if you buy the cheapest Camaro, add the turbos, it IS less expensive than a SS. Resale value doesn't bother me, I don't buy cars to sell later.

The trick is not caring what those "some" think.

I've yet to run into a twin turbo v8, but when I do I'll try to cut a really good light and hope he spins his tires while I make a good clean pass.

I'm a DIYer so no labor for me. The cost of the turbos is the same as the difference between a 2LT and a 2SS. I love V8s and have owned a lot of them but modding this V6 has been a lot of fun. Amazing little motors.

Neither one is as insane as ~40 posts about AFM but ignoring the solutions suggested by others because you would rather argue with more knowledgeable people about tunes and warranties...

Just sayin'

sorry but this seemed like the same argument that we used to hear from ricers...my turbo 4banger/V6 eats V8 camaros, mustangs, dodges etc for breakfast...

Loved both of mine...well worth the money and time spent modding them.

Op, its your car, your money and your decision. Do what makes you happy, because at the end of the day its the only thing that matters. I have a V6 myself and love it to death. It's not a performance beast by any stretch, but it'll still put a smile on your face. Mine does for me the few chances I get to drive it. Buy what you want and enjoy what you get. There is no wrong decision as long as you're happy.
