2016 AutoGuide.com Car of the Year Nominee: 2016 Chevy Camaro
Check this out... Negative comments include Dangerous Sightlines (?), cramped interior, complaints about the angle of the nav screen, and small trunk.
I guess I am biased, since I'm a Camaro fan, but doesn't this review come across as half-assed? Last edited by Bongos2U; 12-11-2015 at 12:55 AM. |

That's like complaining that while a minivan has large cargo capacity it "struggles" at the track. I'm so tired of people whining about the visibility in this car when that bad visibility is a direct and unavoidable product of the styling that the same people love. It's a freakin' aggressive, angular sports car; you're going to have some things sacrificed in order to make it exactly that. You want good sight lines, go buy a Camry and whine about how slow and beige it is.

I thought the review was balanced overall (although lacking any specifics about the Camaro's handling or road-feel attributes). You may be able to get used to it, but coming from something like an Accord or (God forbid) an old Integra, the minimal outward visibility is a pretty big shock. I don't doubt I will be hypervigilant on my test drive....

Visibility is an issue the first hour you have the car. After that short time period its no big deal. I haven't heard much from Autoguide in the past. Is it a B or C level car review company? Interesting that they were only given the v6 to test and not a v8. Also it seems every comment that they made was based on a cliche comment made by other reviewers. Did these people even truly review the car? I think not.

The side view blind spot warning in the mirrors solves those problems .....I wish all cars had this. Changing lanes has never been this easy with confidence and allows you to concentrate on driving. Who wants to drive around in a fish bowl.
